Unhappy No A/C with WOT

Today I installed:

Borla Exhaust
Kinetix Test Pipes
Alpha Werks Headers

The car feels/sounds great minus the rasppp due to the test pipes. During WOT my a/c stops blowing cold air. This happens starting with 3rd gear, through fourth, fifth, and sixth, but only during WOT. This is no fun in Florida during a 92 degree day. Shop says the ECU turns off the compressor, or some a/c components, so the motor can have all the power. I think I need to get pulleys. Advice please.

And yes hollywood ruined drifiting. I saw The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift. Nice imports. Bad storyline. Nice 350z.

I think it happens at WOT no matter what gear ur in. 1st and 2nd blows by so fast that you don't notice the AC kick off.

most likely will kick off to prevent less of a load on the engine to create a lil more HP

almost all vehicles disengage the AC compressor when at WOT, this is normal.

It is actually to prevent the compressor from overrunning. It's not designed to be run at engine speeds of 6000 RPM, etc.
Even variable displacement compressors (ones that don't cycle on and off) will still be turned off by the ECU at WOT.

i learn something new everyday. isn't life grand? first time i noticed this phenomenon was today. thats probably due to the fact i have more hp now. how much more? i'll find out on the dyno tomorrow. i completed my baseline dyno earlier this week.

hp gains below:

the borla exhaust, test pipes, and alphawerks headers have added 1hp and 12 ft-lbs of torque overall. my mid-range displayed the most improvement, i gained over 20hp and over 25 ft-lbs torque. my G is running lean since the exhaust improvements, the air/fuel dropped below 13 today.

after i got my G dynoed i drove back to my mechanic so he could install the pop-charger. the kinetix intake manifold and z-tube will go on monday.

friday is dyno day again. yay! can't wait to get my hands on the eManage Ultimate
