i got the stillen 4 way adjustable shifter. It flat out rocks. no rattles at all, i ve put about 1000 miles on with it installed. Very short height even shorter throw and its adjustable. you can take it back to stock height if you want.
BTW, when reading you questions i has visions of a 5 year old kid for some reason.

A common misconception is that CAI or any other intakes give you more power. The fact is that CAI (including short ram intakes) dont give you any significant power. Actually, many CAI owners have complained about losing low-end power due to their intake.
If your getting an intake, get it for the sound, not for performance.
Also, I prefer Stillen due to the fact that it is a short ram intake that works exactly like a CAI. But since it isnt a "true" CAI (only because its form, although it does take in cold air) chances of your vehicle hydrolocking are much less since it isnt as low as most CAI.
