put in the spacer, but....

Okay 2day i put in my MD 5/16" spacer, and i must say it is a great mod!!!
The only problem i am having, is that when i took off the top piece of the plenum, i noticed alot of wear on the lower plenum area, almost like it was rubbing on something else, there were six rly bad wear marks on the lower plenum, just wanted to see if i was the only one with this problem, if it even is a problem.
thanks
-Tom

Just make sure all the bolts are torqued to the right specs and you should have a problem...

Your air manifold is one of the strongest peice of metal on your car except your block so it should be moving to easily....

Might it have been from when you had all the bolts loose and you were lifting it up and the 6 inside bolts were rubbing against the lower manifold? They might have left a few scratches...

did you use a torque wrench? If not, do so. You may be surprised.

otherwise, read over the directions again, and double check to make sure you haven't missed anything.

If nothing you do helps, take pics and send them to motordyne and see what they say (hope you bought it from them, so they'll actually help you).

MY guess is that's all it could be since there is nothing moving in there to match scratches or wear marks.
