Is buying a intake really worth it? Is it worth the risk of having water in your engine? (i lvie in florida) Does it really help?

None of them really add much hp if any.. I have an injen long tube Intake which is the loudest intake made for our cars. Injen long tube intakes are also the most dangerous to have for hydro locking. I live in Miami,FL where it rains almost every single day.. Just don't drive through puddles plain and simple. The long tube intake sounds amazing..

ztube and pop charger is a very good combo and one of the loudest/cheapest intake mods

i opted for the even cheaper intake mod with just a ztube, k&n drop in, power duct delete

power duct delete made a huge differece and it was free

theres two tabs..use a flat head screw driver and pop them off..

open your hood and look at your intake box. it says power duct

(actually, i asked the same stupid question lol so i cant be an @$$ about this LOL)

note that there is some debate about whether this is good or not...

https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-exhaust/107258-uuhhm-what-exactly-power-duct-where.html

people say you will lose some power but i have it off and dont feel a thing. and since i dont track my car its not like im going to notice one or two poines

I hate people who are scared of hydro locking. IMO, if someone is smart enough to know what hydro locking is, then they should know what a bypass valve is. Research, research, research.

I think all intakes have been tested, and the Stillen was the best overall.

I just replaced the Z-tube/ K&N drop in with Z-tube/Stillen...It seems that I have a little better throttle response and a little better performance...I hava a few other mods(Crawford Plenum,Mrev)...All in all I like it better than the Z-tube/ K&N drop in.
