Just got my Stillen CAI!!!

The offer at everyg35.com was too good not to take.

240 for stillen CAI and stillen Z tube.

I have a few questions though that really havent been discussed/provided.

1)Is there an actual good DIY out there? I read Stillen's DIY, and it had to be one of the worsts ive ever seen (only one ive seen)

2) Will the "Stillen" Z-tube have the same AC rubbing problem as the OEM Z-Tube?

Cant wait till it gets here! Im too impatient...

i had a little rubbing after a friend of mine helped me install it. Just went to autozone and bought plastic piping to go over my a/c line... so far so good and i also zip tied the ac line closer to one of the brackets so that pulled it a bit further also

its very straight foward. no need for a DIY. stillen ztube, from the looks of it, has a different shape to it and should fit perfectly as it is made for the g. the oem z tube is made for the z and i had some (very very little) trouble getting it to fit.

Several of us didn't bother with the A/C line clamping on the bottom. (It is actually easier to access the bottom mount from inside the wheel well lining. )Way more trouble than it's worth. It is solid without it IMO.

Funny you should mention it, I installed one the other day for a buddy and they no longer come with the bottom bolt or hole.

Yeah!!!

Well it finally arrived. I never knew I would be so excited for an intake

At first I was paranoid that it seemed imcomplete. But it seems all good to me. It came with the Stillen CAI and the "Stillen Z-Tube". It also came with nuts and bolts... and with the worst DIY manual I have ever read; Its like reading a science book

Ill give it a try (install) later today or tommorow and will give you guys feedback ASAP. Oh I just cant seem to find any DIY's out there... anyone have one? It looks kinda self explanatory but like I said im a paranoid person (the MAS sensor part looks scary)

.

I installed the Stillen Z-Tube this weekend. No rubbing at all, it is actually no where near the AC lines everyone keeps talking about. I see no trouble in the future as far as that is concerned.

Then again, my brother is an Infiniti mechanic.....
