A great HAI (Hot Air Intake) for only $227. I'm finally able to agree with The Clueless One.

Whatever, some people just have to give thier negative opinions on something they dont have............u know that all SRI's would be classified the same as a HAI as Earl says.........there is no difference between the Fujita SRI and an Injen SRI.......only Injen has the Rep...........but in essence, Fujita is made by Injen so would you say that Injen is a great HAI as well...........?

well think of it like this, is it easier to drink through a shorter straw or a long straw...your throttle response will be quicker with a short ram setup...just be prepared for the heat soak factor

Don't agree. There's lots of information and detailed testing available on aftermarket intakes and heat soak. The search function is your friend.

Cripes. I could make one of these intakes.

Sorry for the delayed reply (haven't been in this subforum since) but two things come to mind:
1. if there is a less than 1 hp difference, I guess the only reason for this mod would be for more intake noise and/or dressing the engine bay up, which are legitimate pursuits in and of themselves.
2. I'm willing to bet that those dynos were done with the hood up. Unless you drive around town like this.... With the hood down, stuck in traffic, waiting at a stoplight, or staging for the 1/4, you're going to be sucking in hot air for an extended amount of time.

Sure, it'll cool down as you start to move but by then, the excitement is over.

What if I got a vented hood, that should let the hot air escape, right?

Then what you really want is an intake that doesn't
have issues with heat and that you won't have to
remove your front bumber to install....and zero
issues with water. The answer is the Stillen CAI
Air Box that contains a giant K&N filter. Easy to
install and clean with no problems at all!
