Rick, if you could post up some of these links (you stated earlier that there were several runs here and on my350z which collaborate with your own dyno), that would definitely set me straight and show others that the gains are proven. I'm sure many members would like to see this as well. Looking forward to seeing the dynos!
i put proven in parenthese for a reason - so as not to offend anyone on the FI team. i thought by just saying claimed or adding quotes around proven might come off as offensive, which are not my intentions. and it's difficult to interpret internet talk since you can't hear the tone of voice being used.

but i have never bothered searching for a fast intentions intimidator exhaust dyno.

I did over at 350z and found a few. I also remember reading 2 different
test on the same kind of dyno had better #'s then what F/I listed
on there site.

As others have already said including yourself. Every car is different and will
react differently to the same type of mods.

Dyno #'s to me don't mean much at all. Unless were talking a
50-75-100 gain.

Not to come off offensive, but that has to be the worst reason I ever heard for anyone presenting an uncertainty to them as a fact to a much wider audience. (especially on a forum venue, where we generally try to help out the greater good)

That's cool man; I respect your opinion. Also, I contacted Dave at sport z magazine so I could the exhaust dyno shootout issue (I used to have one at work but don't have access to it anymore). The Stillen was dyno'd in that test, and the HKS was too I believe. (Along w/ a couple of other single path systems) If anyone has that issue and could scan the results, that would be great. On HKS's website, they have a dyno for their exhaust, but its a dyno from a magazine's testing, not testing they did themselves. I believe those results were accurate, at least on that particular G.

i still don't trust dynos provided by magazines. often times companies pay the magazine to write a story/review on their products or are big sponsors of the magazines and thus the magazines are influenced to yield positive results.

i have hks, and even i am skeptical about the hks dynos provided by hks themselves and magazines.

That's definitely a possibility; guess I will just have to dyno mine once I get it. Actually, I will definitely do a before and after dyno of the HKS. At least there will be one independent dyno. But along that same line of thought, if magazine dyno runs can be tainted; any manufacturers own dyno claims should be considered void.

i don't pay any attention to manufacturer dynos most of them are not true before/after dynos, anyway. most have some sort of tuning to yield the best results.
