Help! Garbage bag melted on exhaust!

Ran over an empty garbage bag and it got caught underneath the car. By the time I pulled over and grabed the thing it had melted pretty good to what I believe is the exhast. Any ideas how to clean it off? The fumes are killing me, I can't drive with the windows open anymore!!

TIA

Good luck, that happened to me last summer all I could do was scrape off what I could and deal with the smell for a while. Took about 2 weeks for it to melt itself awy.

Been there, done that. Seddon is right. Do what you can to scrap off the material and then the rest will have to burn off.

Easy Off....like magic! Just watch where you spray it...use cardboard to mask behind the pipes so you don't get the undercarriage or any fuel hoses, gaskets, etc..

A little wiping after about 10 muinutes, and your clean. Do it when it's all really hot and smelling...works better that way.

You could use a fine steel wool to get it off.

Take it to the track and it will burn off quick if you get some good runs

Happend to me as well, except mine was a grociery bag and i had no idea i ran it over...i thought my car was on fire. When i looked i took a paint can stir stick and just scraped it off...atleast what i could reach. Good luck with a garbage bag HAHA.

i hate when that happens. i hate a plastic garbage burn onto my super hot downpipe before when i had turbo on my integ and it left an ugly burn mark and the fumes were nasty.
