The New SEDAN Stillen Dual Catback - INSTALLED!!!

Hey Sedan brothers/sisters....

Went down to Stillen at 2pm today and got the VERY VERY VERY FIRST Stillen SEDAN Dual catback exhaust system. The thing is so NEW that it is not even sized for boxes (so I got the parts without the box). It was installed at Atlantic Muffler one hour later.

Installation: FITS LIKE A GLOVE!!! No fitment issues whatsoever! The whole installation (including the stock exhaust dissassembly) took 50 minutes.

Impressions on sound: Sounds AWESOME! No raspiness (not even a hint). Nice deep sound. There is seem some "bell-type" resonation that will go away as you break it in - and almost all of it is gone in about 1/3 day of driving. After the install, I drove over to my buddy Ted's house and we did a nice side by side video clip comparison (his car (stock) and mine). He should be posting the clip soon...

Impressions on performance: Stillen has delivered!!! The gain is definitely real and significant!!! The gain that I got, believe it or not, is as great as the one I got from my plenum/ECu (specially tuned) mod. It really is! If I were to guess (butt dyno) I would say that it made at least 15. The gain is especially apparent on the low end - which makes me happy to no end!!!

Stillen definitely scores one!! On sound and definitely on performance! This is a testament to how bad our stock exhaust system is and definitely how good Stillen's gas-scavenging X-pipe design is!

I am a happy camper.

Step by step install and finished product pics will be posted LATER TONIGHT (within one hour).

Gurgen

Re: The New SEDAN Stillen Dual Catback - INSTALLED!!!

May I be one of the first to say thanks for being the "guinea pig" for the other sedan owners. Although I own a coupe myself, its good to see others helping to establish a better mod base for both the sedan and coupe lines. Hope you enjoy the exhaust...sounds like a very good product. May I ask how much it cost with installation?

Re: The New SEDAN Stillen Dual Catback - INSTALLED!!!

No let me clarify this...

My high flow cats are off - the performance I am talking about is WITH STOCK CATS!!!! I am getting the high-flow cats back in soon. I can only imagine what the gain is gonna be then!!!!!!!!

Also, some were asking about the cost. I paid the price listed on the site - $964 + tax - came out to a little over a grand. But it's cool to have the first one!!!

Can't wait to get the high-flow cats in there and go down to TS and get a custom fuel-curve. Then all sedan guys will have the option of a perfect super-tuned ECU flash for all mods: Intake/plenum/high-flow cats/exhaust.
