Perhaps a chip or something along those lines. nothing too aggressive. thanks in advance
I'd say Z-tube and MD 5/16" spacer. Much like what's accepted about the VW/Audi 1.8T, most will agree that an "intake" on these cars is mostly for sound and dynos are inconclusive about the gains.

i've read somewhere in this forum that the spacer voids the warranty, is that true?

I guess if you had a really picky dealer and you had a major engine failure. With the engine cover in place and the stock intake tube in place, they'd never know the spacer was there. For them to void your warranty, they would need to prove that the spacer caused the failure.

Thats the way it is supposed to work, but in reality they deny the warranty work and you have to prove in court it did not cause the failure.

I agree 100%. Basically a dealer can do whatever they want because they know that most people won't take the issue into the judicial system. A lot of dealers don't work on modified cars because as of late, many corporate reps will deny reimbursment of labor and materials if the car has been modified and the rep sees it as a problem. We really can't blame the dealerships for taking this stand when someone rolls in with highly modified G35 and has an engine problem.
