Has anyone used their oil filter? Is it worth it?

Oh I don't know. Maybe the 4-5 threads that discuss Mobil 1 oil filters?

Sorry. I did in fact use K&N in that search. There is K&N oil filters mentioned in those threads.

Maybe a better question is exactly what do you want to know?

Are they good? Yes
Are they expensive? Yes

Are they worth it? Up to you. For me? No. The Napa gold series made by Wix is very, very good and at a good price. Especially when you probably change your oil every 3-4k anyway.

 

The other problem is how does one actually quantify "worth it"? It would take a pretty BIG study of some pretty controlled testing to see any differences inbetween a K&N vs most any filter. Even the cheapest POS filter you could find.

 

Why the hell do they have to move this from the main forum?
