Angry Injen CAI Problem

Need Help!!!!! I just installed a Injen CAI in my 04 coupe. It seems to be ok at idle and low rpm and speed. But when I floor it from a dead stop, it shuts off right when it reaches about 5 grand in the r's. WTF is going on?Has anyone experienced this? Please help!!!!

Thanks,

Koko

oh man.. this is exactly why I'm still doubtful on going with a CAI... I was looking at the AEM, Injen and Fujita... and for the most part they should work as normal... but at the same time there's problems with Hydrolocking, and also problems just like you described... just random engine malfunctions!

did you clean out the MAF sensor before installing it back into the Injen ??

Get a pop charger, I've had CAIs and will NEVER own another one. Everytime the streets flooded, I would have to be real careful.

Are u letting off the gas when u get to high RPM's??? I know when i had my injen intake on, at high speeds letting off the gas would cause the air to get sucked out of the tube and cause a venturi effect... The air passing through the intake was greater than the air being sucked up from the motor; which sucks the air out of the tube...

Thanks to all for your responses, 1. I will put the stock back on and see what happens. 2. I didn't take my foot off the gas, it just shuts down. 3. What I don't understand is that a friend of mine bought the same exact one and his car seems to work fine. 4. It works fine as long as i don't floor it above 5 grand. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Koko
