It's not magic, these engines work the same as every other one out there......
The less restricitons and the colder the air.... the more power you'll make.
But, $400 for 3hp??? No thanks. Even if you got 10 RWHP guaranteed, I wouldn't pay $400. And you definitely won't get that.
Heat shield only helps if it keeps hot air from going in the intake. Once the air is in the intake, it's there for such a short period of time that a heat shield won't matter. But..... every little bit helps I guess.
