K&N typhoon CAI vs. Stillen intake

I just swaped my from my K&N CAI back to the stock intake and let me say whoever says that a CAI makes no diff... With the CAI my 1st gear will spin hard from a 25mph roll with no problem. Now with the stock air box i can barly get it to chirp tire at 20mph. Does anyone know if the stillen intake is better than the K&N typhoon CAI?? Ive been thinking about swaping to a stillen short ram because i hear that sri's with a good heat shiled outperform CAI's on the VQ. please leave input ive searched but cant find any comparisson between the two.
thanks guys

Same surface? Same conditions? Did it rain recently and clean all the crap off the streets?

Simply put, there are way too many variables at play. There are days where my G auto will destroy it's tires from a 1st gear roll and other days where it just hunkers down and goes. Even if you're K&N was making 5whp, which would set record for intakes, it wouldn't make the type of difference if your tires would spin or not. You're talking about a 2% increase in power. There have been a few that have tested both stock and aftermarket intakes on the track and the results are no difference or slightly in favor of the stock intake.

Give me 92 honda civic with manual tranny i can chirp to second gear all day long. Intake is not going to give u 50 hp for u to feel.

My old 90 CRX Si would roast the tires into 2nd, torque steer you into the nearest curb, and would chirp 3rd. That car had 106hp and 100 ft/lbs and ran 15.9s@88mph On another note, if I would have known that my mint CRX would become an icon, I would have hidden it in a barn for 10 years and sold it for more than it's purchase price of $15K. That was a really sweet car and with a K20 it would be insane. I miss that car sometimes.
