Some people in this forum need to chill out. Opinions are great but if you have nothing nice to say then atleast be tactful about it...or just kill yourself >=)

btw, i'd love to race someone in their G...provided i get to hop in a fighter jet for the race...

Re: My New Crawford v5 Plenum

I'm curious if you've noticed the weird noise that people where complaining appeared in the old crawford plenum?
thanks for the info and nice setup

I like your mod cover. Looks naked without the cover

g35gandu:
The "baby diesel" sound is not present in the new plenum. There is more sound that stock still due to the top of the plenum being a slightly thinner material, you have to listen for it.

yano:
For the raw look, yeah you are right it is a little. I haven't had the time yet to get a 350Z cover yet and modify it. Once I get some time and some more fun cash I will get that done.

For those w/o a Crawford or Kinetix, it is a great mod for some extra HP.

That weird noise is one of the things they addressed with the new v5 version.

Lowrider...
Nice Job on the cut down Engine cover. The front of the Engine does look bare w/out a cover.
I did the same on my Polished Z Plenum back in December...
Take-Care,

Re: My New Crawford v5 Plenum

actually the weird noise wasnt one of the things they fixed.. it was just fixed by them using full cast alunm. for the intake plenum... the older crawford plenum modified part was thinner than stock.. letting some of the sound come through.. i presume the kenetix will also make this sound becase its made out of plastic...

The kinetix does not make the diesel ticking sound that the crawford v4 made. The sound is the same as stock just a little meaner

Re: My New Crawford v5 Plenum

Read some of the comments at my350z.com. It seems all of the early adapters of the Kenetix have had problems. The vendor has been very nice about the problems, so every one is happy with the customer service (though I can't understand why). Any way, IMO, the only plenum that really works and is bullet proof is the Crawford. I wouldn't waste my time on the Kinetix. JMO.

Re: My New Crawford v5 Plenum

So for those of us with v4 is there any brainstoming going on about the noise and ways to eliminate it. Mine sounds like a camaro v-6 sometimes. What about soundproofing the hood better?
