Your data is....
Lots of cars run NO filter such as ITB setups or intake horns and how many of them "fail" because of that? Engines are not going to have some sort of catastrophic failure because of excess dust getting into the engine. What WILL happen is oil contamination and excess wear on the internals as a result, and eventual loss of compression and power loss in the long run.

it's a G35, not a Datsun 240Z. i'm not worried about keepin' this car as a collector. it's my DD, if i did keep it for 20yrs+, i'd get a new engine anyway. i'm not sayin' not to run a filter, i don't even run the Blitz anymore. i was merely stating the fact that, that was one test done against only 2 filters that had any relevance. what if you ran it against a JWT, GReddy or Fujita and found simmilar data??? woulf those setups now rate an instnt e-lecture??? no... because realisticly it really doesn't matter. that was one test, that Jeff fell in love with, his "holy grail" of filtering knowledge. now, me on the other hand have lived in in Japan and seen 1st hand early 90's skylines running the Blitz w/o a hitch, hell i even saw them fittet to old-school skylines & fairladys. stop taking my words to the extream ends of the specrum to try & make ur point. we all get it. do you hound smokers & drinkers down w/all this drama???

Once again, there are plenty of Japanese tuners that run no filters at all "without a hitch". Yet you still won't recommend that? The point is your anecdotal evidence based on what you've seen other cars running in japan is just hogwash.

it wasn't just other cars, i ran it on my '96 GTS25, i ran it on my G35. there you go going ot extreams again. in the whole scheme of things running a Blitz filter is far closer to the running a filter end of the spectrum vs the not running one side. i've always ran a filter, so that's what i recommend. what better evednce that real word proof??? apparantly, a vacum filter test holds more wieght in ur book. in that case you should check out the "turbonator", they do a great soda can demo. you've made ur point, your the "mod-police" we get it. we should all be stock, stop driving our G's and garge them for future posparety.

I know you got one free (nice snag btw) but you didn't say you ran one because you got one for free right

The JWT uses the same oiled cotton media as the stillen. Who knows what Fujita uses. I hardly consider them a legit intake company anyway.

Stillen intake with Amsoil filter

I have a stillen intake with the larger amsoil filter. It fits without mods and I can take pictures when I get a chance.

I did want your guys opinions on the amsoil(filters as well as the k and N)?

Let me know what you guys think.

thanks.
