I haven't read the whole thread but putting more restrictive resonators/glasspacks would eliminate the rasp.

even if the exhuast already has the resonator in the midpipe after the cats and before the mufflers???

what about silencer tips?

adding a resonator and taking off the headers should get rid of the rasp...
