Exhaust Problem

So my car went to my body shop for about 3 weeks to get some stuff done to it and when I go to pick it up...there's this insanely loud droning noise and its so loud the car is vibrating when I accelerate (especially over 3000rpm or hard acceleration).

I took it to my dealership guys and they said that it looks like the exhaust was pushed to the floor of the car and that was what the insanely loud droning/ vibration was. They pulled it down slightly but its still not back to normal.

I visually inspected the under carriage and it doesn't look that bad, it doesn't look like it should be doing this anymore, but it still does.

Any ideas? Do I need new catalytic converters or a new y-pipe or something? I don't think its the muffler because the sound really seems to be coming from right around the lower engine bay area or right beneath my fee.

Why did you car go to the body shop? Was it involved in a collision?

No collision thank goodness.

Just getting this stuff put on.
Klumzyee's NISMO Front Bumper
RAVSPEC's NISMO Rear Diffuser
Klumzyee's Roof Spoiler
Kenstyle Side Skirts
Refinished my M wheels
Repainted my calipers black and put silver "infiniti" stenciling
Front strut bar
RHD Battery Cover
GT Spec front and rear tie arms
GT Spec lateral brace
Changed all my lighting to hyper white LEDs
Fixed a minor dent in my rear passenger side fender.
Grounding Kit
new front tires

So it was there for a little while.

Its going back in this weekend for OEM Paddle Shifter Kit, CM HID Bulbs, Klumzyee's CF front splitter

Just got my DEFI and AUTOMETER gauges put in last weekend. Can't get the autometer gauge to work so it'll have to go back to get that done.

hahahaha just spring cleaning.

it may have something to do with your GT spec bars...I know on my HKS that I had my GT spec bars were sitting on it and caused a vibration in the car....other then that you may want to check for air leaks...but I would think the Dealership would of done something like that..the only way you would have bad drone is maybe if you have a weld broke somewhere on your y pipe...or exhaust some where....or maybe your cats and manifolds have a leak...it seems to me that the dealer would of checked all of this but you never know..

By the way nice set of mods installed there.

^^ +1, definetly check the GT spec bars for clearance, I had to take off the ladder brace b/c my tanabe y pipe was touching the bar even with spacers and it caused a lot of NVH. The rear tie bar also would not fit with my Amuse Exhaust due to the support bracket.

The clearance on the GT Spec bars is fine. There's about a little over an inch of clearance through the whole exhaust.

I'm thinking it may be a leak. I dont' know. I'll have to see if they can double check it.
