Nismo exhaust ?'s

Nismo exhaust ?'s
Just put on my Nismo CAI yesterday and am now considering the Nismo exhaust. I'm going Nismo because it does not void my warranty, but I was wondering if someone that had the Nismo exhaust and could tell me if they think it is worth the money to change out the existing exhaust. From what I understand it's a fairly minimal hp gain, but it has a deeper moan. Can anyone help with their experience with their Nismo exhaust system?

By the way, putting on an exhaust other than Nismo will not void your warranty.
Also, I believe the aftermarket Nissan accessories are only warrantied for one year anyway.
In other words, don't rule out the others (Stillen, Borla, or JIC Y pipe are my favs) just because you think it'll void your entire warranty. It will not. I

Re: Nismo exhaust ?'s
I'll definitely have to ask them about that because I was told that if I installed Nismo aftermarket parts, then they would be under the same warranty as my car as long as they did the install...not just the individual part warranty. Thank goodness I have it in writing, but I will have to ask about the other exhausts because I like the Borla also. Thanks!

tyger,
Do a search on exhausts and you'll find quite a bit of good data. Stillen and Borla each have their advantages but bottom line seems to be about 5-7 HP at the wheels at the mid/upper level rev range. Borla is lighter and cheaper, Stillen has a slight low RPM edge and has fewer pieces.
The aftermarket brochures I've read published by Nissan all say "one year parts and labor for aftermarket installations". That's on the part and labor itself. If something else (non exhaust related) goes wrong, it's covered of course. I believe Stillen and Borla have either lifetime or million mile warranties on their products. Depending on who does the install (I'd just go to a local custom exhaust shop, here in Memphis there's one every other block) will dictate the warranty on labor.

Re: Nismo exhaust ?'s
All aftermarket parts will affect your warranty the same (including Nismo). If they can prove the part was a direct cause of a component failure, they will not pay. The only exception is the Nismo S-tune line which I believe consists of a keychain and a t-shirt (j/k).
