man the sedan is like whisper quiet to me...u sure u dont have an exhaust leak?

I vote exhaust leak. Sedans are silent by comparison.

Silent by comparison has zero to do with this. That is your opinion. The coupe is silent in comp to a Ferrari. What does that mean? Nothing.

The only comparison that matters is to the person listening.

But the sedan really doesn't have any sound at all. My neighbor has one and he has a lead foot, it can hear the engine as with all cars but nothing from exhaust.

Throw in a resonator somewhere in your exhaust..

Dynamat your entire car and you won't hear ANYTHING from the inside.

this will likely be the easiest way to do it... i would put it in somwhere after the cat and before the muffler.

PLus if you dynamat the car.. it should help with the rattles we all hate.

To the OP, are you the original owner of the car? If not, then are you familiar with any mods the car presently has? If you bought it used, then it might have any number of mods.

Make sure you have the full OEM exhaust(manifolds, cats, y pipe, midpipe, and rear section). Also make sure you have the stock intake tube.

If you are the original owner, or if the car has no mods, then you still have a couple of options. One is to use silencers, like has already been suggested. Another is to shop around at local exhaust shops, and see if any can make suggestions on a quieter muffler. <--- which leads to another thought, is your muffler still intact?

Another alternative, already mentioned, is having another resonator welded in place. However, if your exhaust is completely stock, then there's not going to me much room left for another resonator to go, which leaves you with the muffler/silencer options.

IIRC the 03 (and 04?) sedans have a smaller muffler. I wonder if replacing yours with an 05-06 muff would help? Maybe the more tech-savvy guys can even tell you if it will bolt on; I assume so but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for your thoughts and info.

My car is paid for and completely stock. I raced it on tracks, I've had my fun and have been a spirited driver around town. I've owned the car for almost six years. Now I want to tone the car down some since my life is different and so are my preferences.

Doesnt look like I really have any easy options. I can live with it.
