How your car running? Going to install Stillen single path exhaust with 07 350z y-pipe...will dyno and post results.
I'm loving it, especially for $50. The driving dynamics have changed, though slightly, for the better. I swear the car is more responsive in the lower and midrange rpms. Another thing I've noticed is the shifting of the 5AT feels more responsive coming off part throttle shifts. It's hard to explain, but it's as if the line the pressure of the tranny has been raised to make for a firmer shift. I know this isn't the case, but it make me wonder if there really is a little extra torque in the lower rpms because I noticed this sensation with my Maxima and Z28 when I added some extra torque. I wish some others would post their results because I hate sounding like those guys that are in awe of some simple miracle mod Originally Posted by molidor01

This weekend I'm going to make a video highlighting the sound.

I have an 03 5AT sedan. I have a coupe midpipe, I think from an 04, and an intake. Last week I put the HR Y-Pipe on. Wow. I drained and filled my tranny fluid and had my fuel system cleaned at the same time, so I wasn't completely sure what was responsible for the significant increase in performance I have felt, but Dave hit the nail on the head with that last post. I absolutely feel quicker, firmer shifts, and hear and feel deeper, stronger exhaust notes, especially at low and midrange rpm, which is where the car stays for the most part with me because I do more city driving.
Overall, the car feels great right now! When I do get a chance to open it up it pulls HEAVY! If anyone has the chance to do this, try it! Outstanding difference! I can't wait to put my spacer on ASAP. Thanks for the heads-up Dave!

Thanks for your review. You can thank Godmans for HR y-pipe idea. As far as I know, he's the first one to do it.Originally Posted by Bigrose

Installing Y-Pipe and stillen exhaust tomorrow. Dave did you reset ecu after install? Will dyno as soon as i can
Quote:
I didn't reset the ECU. I've never done it adding mods. Never really saw the point because when you reset the ECU, the default part-throttle settings are extremely rich and the timing is severely retarded. This means throttle response is compromised, your mpgs will be worse, and the car will feel a bit boggy. It takes a few days for the ECU to gather the correct fuel/timing maps.Originally Posted by molidor01
