G35 Coups 6MT black/tan
So, i read all 62 pages...

I gathered the following:
-In the beginning around 2009.. people were excited. Butt dyno proved beneficial for the 350zHR Ypipe.
-Saw one guy with a dyno record (stillen and z tube) that proved it helps by a couple horsepower.
-middle of the thread people are still into it, but exploring other options..
-End of the thread.. "youre not gaining anything and people who say you do are crazy"

So.. i have a 2007 G35 coupe 6mt revup.. already have stillen z tube and K&N drop in filter. Also have magnaflow catback (y-Back) exhaust. The inlet after the Y starts at 2.5"

My Y pipe took a dump when i was pulling into an apt complex this weekend to help a buddy move. Their speedbumps were 27 ft high (haha) and it scraped up my flex pieces on the stock Y pipe. Now everything sounds muffled and not quite as loud like someone through a big blanket over my exhaust. I'm assuming its the Y-Pipe since the flex pieces look torn to hell.

So im wondering.. do i just replace with another stock Y (since aftermarket ones merge into 3" and my magnaflow is 2.5" inlet) or go with this 350zHR Y pipe concept. I dont want to sacrifice any low end torque even if it does gain at upper end.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the help!

The HR Y pipe is a superior design to the DE Y pipe. Longer primary, shorter secondary.

You're not going to gain anything with stock cats and headers though, but it's still a better design and it's a direct bolt on replacement without any ****ery to make it work.
