350Z HR Y-pipe installed on a 2003 G35
 Hr engines were only 07-08... Which means anything before that is the same thing as you already have
Just installed my HR Y pipe and so far it is hard to tell any kind of difference. Hopefully it will get better with some time. I see that some have reset their ecu. Is this necessary?
^ Not necessary but advisable for your ECU to more quickly learn the new setup. I doubt you'll notice any difference in performance, and if you haven't noticed a difference in sound (it's very subtle IMO) you probably won't with either time, ECU reset or both.
Resetting the ECU would have achieved these results sooner.... the Y-pipe is a change in the air flow of the engine.. albeit slight.. not like headers or a turbo... it's still a change.. the A/F ratio mappings are affected, so the ECU needs to be reset to compensate for this change.
Regardless... welcome to the HR Y-Pipe Club !
and enjoy!

I'm gonna say the HR Y is better. The megan Y pipe is the same design as the stock Y. The HR is better because the curves are slighter letting air flow threw better. Megan does have another Y pipe that is the same designe as the HR. now that one i'd get over the stock HR Y pipe.
damn im taking into consideration of justt redoing the exhaust my self ....just tell the guy at the muffler shop to follow that design of the HR y pipe, he said he had already done a few G's and Z's that he did their whole exhaust but that he did it 3 inch, said it sounded bada$$ who knows..
