If your wanting to swap your exhaust with a 350z stock exhaust, it will not fit. At least everything y-pipe back, that is.

The HR y-pipe will fit.

The mid pipe needs to be extended to fit.

And the muffler is different all together. Unless you want to do some major modification lol.

Yep, deff add a nicer growl to it. If you can find a coupe mid pipe, it'll bolt right up with no modification.

I can get a 2005 sedan midpipe instead but the pictures of the 2008 350Z looks a lot less restrictive (smaller muffler). What do you think? I know it's more hassle to get it extended but there's a local shop that is really reasonable. Also what about the muffler? Any cheap solutions like Megan? Can't afford HKS right now. I don't want the exhaust to be too loud or drone more than just a little. Thanks

I happen to run an 05 midpipe and it sounds very nice. Not quite the howl of a Z or coupe midpipe, but pretty similar. Plus, as you say, it bolts right up. If it's cheap or free, try it out.

Yep the 05-06 sedan mid pipe is a nice upgrade too. Getting that, or the coupe middy will deff be beneficial, since you won't be carrying 30 lbs of anchor weight that you have with your current mid pipe lol.

And muffler? I'm bias towards the HKS cause that's what I wanna get. I suggest you start saving lol.

I think I asked this question on another post but not a very strait answer. So I am looking at a Megan racing 03-06 G35 sedan( cat back) exhaust. I want to put the HR-Y pipe in there too. Would it be direct bolt on or require some fabrication?? Plus I think it would add a real growl in the lower rpms

HR Y pipe is a great low cost mod for any g35 coupe or sedan. It adds some amazing sound and slight power gains too!

I just finished installing the hr 370z y- pipe on my 05 sedan and I feel it's quieter than before. I think it was louder with only the mid pipe.

Not sure if this was asked, but I heard the 370z Y-pipe will fit 05-06 G35X sedans. Anyone know if this is true?

Installed my HR Y-Pipe in the summer. Now I'm noticing a weird intermittent vibration like sound during warm up. Anybody else experience that? My first thought would be a leak in the exhaust, but then again I've never heard what an exhaust with a leak sounds like.

Is it one of the dampers? I had a vibration and rattle from mine two weeks after I installed it, also occurred during the warmup. I just simply bent it back into place.
