Does anybody know if I get a 07 or 08 Hr y pipe will it fit my 2005 G35x sedan? The AWD might affect it but im not sure. Also does anybody know where i can get one? I can't find one on market place at all on any of them.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you would know if there is any benefit with "Megan Y-Pipe" VS "HR Y-Pipe" .....
The reason I'm asking is, I already have a "HR Y-pipe" on my 05 Sedan with 'Megan CatBack", but for some reason I keep thinking that if I go with a "Megan Y-pipe" it might be better...

I search left and right, but couldn't find anyone comparing the two y-pipes

if you have a HR Y already i dont think you would notice a difference from the Megan racing Y. In fact i think the HR Y is better not sure about that though. Do you have your stock cats? that would be a good change

Little late in responding but I think it you look at the X's Y-pipe design, it's much the same as the HR so you may not even want to bother.

I'm sure there's a benefit to running the Megan vs the OEM HR, being that the Megan out let is 3" vs OEM's 2.5". Since the Megan mid is 3", the merging and exiting of gases should benefit your setup. Most likely you could make enough $ off your HR to buy the Megan. As to how much gain here is to be made? most likely your torque will drop while creating more power in the upper range. You already have a Megan system started, finish it and see how you like it, if not then you can sell it and buy an OEM setup.

Yea, that is what I have decided to do ..... buy the Megan Ypipe and Megan Test Pipe, and see how that works ..... I have been doing some research on the Test Pipes, and I'm having a hard time imagining the 'smell' when those are installed, but I guess I'm gonna have to buy them and find out

I just got my hands on a HR y-pipe. How hard is it to swap out, can I do it in my garage with floor jack and stands or do I need to get it on lift at a shop?

Just picked up an 08 350z hr y pipe and mid pipe for 50 bones. Its nice dealing with cats that are not trying to make a dime off you trying to save buck. Now to Pace Setter Performance to see if they can fab me up an extension piece and possibly a muffler to complete the setup.

No, it's the same as the one you have.

Not so much restricted as just (or also) huge and heavy!
