^ You've got to be lucky to nab a HR y-pipe on driver bc they usually go fast once they're posted.
My advice is if you REALLY want one is to be proactive about it.
1. Look on my350z, my37, and your local craigslist postings.
2. Find local 07-08 350z owners and 08+ g37 owners who've upgraded to aftermarket exhausts and PM them for their y-pipes.
3. Be proactive, they are high-demand items and will not fall into your lap.
4. Remember, it's a nice oem mod but nothing earth-shattering. Don't expect the world from it.

So, after reading through all 57 pages, I haven't found whether to buy the HR Y-pipe off the z or no. I have a 2006x sedan, but I believe I read that some of the X sedans already come with some sort of Y-pipe? and it's not needed to have the HR Y-pipe. I just checked under my g today and it does seem to have the Y-pipe similar to the HR one. So should I still get an 08 HR Y-pipe off a local z? or just save the cash for something else? Thanks a bunch for any help!

i have a 03 sedan with Test pipes , coupe mid, and a magnaflow muffler. i wanna get a Y pipe, but if i go with the M2 hr y pipe isn't that for 07 and up sedans? Or do i have to get the M2 De y Pipe? My rasp is still pretty bad so i heard before that a Y would help. If both are possible on my car isn't the Hr longer than the DE? Sorry for all the questions lol

If you are choosing between the 2 M2 Y-pipes I would go with the HR version. But depending on the size of the piping of your TPs and middy I would look for and HR as it might pair up better than the M2 (piping is larger than OEM and could create a bit of rasp, nothing like non-resonated TPs though)

The M2 Y-pipe has a 3" outlet diameter, which you have going into a 2.5" coupe middy. That will create rasp since the diameter will be getting smaller. You want it to be the same all the way through, or get larger. Never smaller. So in this case you would have to get rid of the coupe middy and Magnaflow muffler since they are 2.5".
