@KINGD If you don't mind the rasping noise and gas smell from test pipes then I would go in that route but I think the Nismo Y pipe has a different inlet and outlet diameter then stock. Just do research on OE mid inlet diameter and if it matches and you don't mind the noise and smell then go for it

It came from his 04 350z and offering both of those part for a little less than 150. I might just buy it and test it out because of the price. Just looking for a different sound than my stock.

^ Do you remember how it sounded? I'm sure it will amplify the stock exhaust mildly and give you some extra HP since you will be running test pipes since our stock cats are restrictive!

Personally, when I had my test pipes I really didn't mind the gas smell but the raspy noise didn't do any justice in comparison to the HP I gained. For me this was a no go because I loved our stock exhaust note and I just want to amplify it alittle more so it growls like a mean cat. But I've spent so much money that I'm just chillen with what I have so far and just gona wait till the car dies out on me and throw another tranny in there lol

Thats exactly what Im looking for, to amplify the sound maybe the switch is not worth the time and money. Ill have to do more reading to see what parts are more desirable. Ive had this car for only a few months and its the first car that I decided to do mods with, still new to the scene lol

Yea I would skip the test pipes cause I'm sure you won't like the rasp! Get some High Flow Cats!

Yes you can bolt it right on with your existing hardware.

I'm still not quite sure if the 370z Y pipe will fit the g35 sedan
From what I read, the 370z Y's have bigger piping than the g37's?
Would the bigger piping on the 370z y's cause rasp with a coupe middy+stock exhaust on a 06 Sedan?
or do they have the same diameter?

idk if they have the same diameter.... i think the might be the same diameter. I do know that it would not cause rasp, it could make you exhaust tone softer or a "lower pitch tone" no rasp though. Yes it should fit without issues

Post 350z Hr y pipe vs 370z hr y pipe

hey, I've done a great deal of research on which pipe would be more beneficial to a 2006 g35 coupe and I came across many conflicting posts.
I was wondering if anyone could shed some more light onto whether the 350 hr y pipe or 370 hr y pipe would be better for the g35. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
