normally impact first, soak with PB blaster and go at it again, maybe pull out a breaker bar if there is room.

if not its time to get a hand torch.

They reused the same bolts but I bought new nuts and gaskets from the Nissan dealer.

just installed mine today. Pretty simple install. Just go crazy with the RB blaster. I did mine by hand/foot at home. Nice providen gains.

Any Sedans want a HR Midpipe, 350z Exhaust, and DE Y-pipe for $60 picked up? This would be an awesome mod for sedans that want to go Dual exhaust.

So to follow up - I've had the Y-pipe on now for over a week and I will say that throttle tip-in is definitely a bit smoother and it seems easier to pull away from a standstill with this mod. Up top in the rev range the car pulls maybe a tad harder, but it's honestly hard to tell. I know the dyno charts show some gains, and it's quite possible, but I wouldn't say it's anything dramatic feel-wise. However the added smoothness from takeoff alone made the mod worth it, IMHO.

Installed mine this morning, nice tweak in the sound. Power? Hard to say yet.

Going to try swapping my Z mid for an 05 sedan unit and see how that sounds.

EDIT: Did the above swap on the weekend, and to be honest, I can't really hear any difference between the Z mid and 05 sedan mid with the HR-Y and HKS setup. I'm lovin' it!

I put mine on this past weekend. I like the extra growl and burble at idle...it's not too much. It definitely seems to pull a little harder at around 3500-4000rpm and above. I don't think I'm crazy.

Hope you're ready for the flood waters to open up here any second. And a heads up if you decide to ship it will cost you between $40-50 per pipe depending what carrier you use. I shipped 2 out to California last year and they were $46 each to ship. I only paid $2000 each for the pipes so I managed to make a little $$$

Interesting question. I don't know why it would do that over the non HR version.

Hi guys, I installed an HR Y-pipe off a 2008 350z last night. I have a 06 6MT coupe with the REVUP engine

Impressions:

The exhaust note now sounds a little "deeper" and "raw" , and because of this it actually sounds a little quieter then before. The stock G35 exhaust note is higher pitched, which is a little louder. Again it is defiantly not a huge difference, but is noticeable.

The engine is a little more responsive. Less delay when you press on the gas. Not a huge difference, but it is noticeable.

all in all I would say it is worth it, for now my car is stock with just a Z-tube. Soon I will do MREV2 and spacer, perhaps the HR Y-Pipe will help the engine flow a little better once I increase the air intake flow and capacity by those mods.
