that would be it... but make sure it's from the 06 6MT Coupe... that was what the original thread on this air box cover mod was addressing... even if you are sporting a sedan or whatever.. I understood it to be 6MT Coupe specific.. it still fits the air box though. When I get the part on Monday... i'll post the Nissan/Infiniti P/N for ya...

and the source was www.infinitipartsusa.com.. sorry! (it still resolves from EverythingG35.com though.. so it's all good!)

now I just need to replace my center pipe with an 06 sedan center piece.. and i'll take time to enjoy the fruits of my labor.. and $$$ !!

btw.. thanks for the insight on the 06 sedan center pipe mod for my 04Gx, DaveB!! you da MAN!!

Negative, 05 - 07 6mt Sedans are also Rev-up, and I am pretty sure they share the same larger veloicty stack with the coupes that have Rev-up engines.

Maybe Tony from Riverside Infiniti could chime in and let us know what he can get them for.

I was looking to upgrade to a revup box, but couldn't find one at the time. I suppose the gain would be minimal if any, but still every little bit helps.

WOW!!

I just received the Air Box Cover... the difference between the 05/06 and the stock 03/04 is incredible!!! The horn on this thing is much, much bigger and more pronounced than the submitted pictures really show!

It looks as if there is also a good 1.5 inch clearance between the front edge of the horn and the backside (flat side) of the drop-in filter, so there shouldn't be any kind of hindrance of air flow by the addition of this new cover, as someone on this forum expressed concern over... looks good!

My first impression is that there should be a some noticeable increase in sound at WOT acceleration with this mod, simply from the fact that the horn on this thing, coupled to a Z-Tube body... has got to produce a "trumpet" effect with the air rushing in... it looks like it should provide good compression of air flow from this configuration... we'll see after I get it installed later this evening.

I had it shipped to work for signature reasons.. so I have to WAIT to install it.

I'll take this baby for a few trial laps around I-270 and see what it sounds, feels and responds like after a reset/re-cal of the ECU.

more on this mod later boys...

which ecu reset procedure are you going to use? I know there was a debate on which one that works the battery disconnect or the happy feet with the pedals.

Anybody which one is the best to do?

I tend to go with the "happy feet" method.. I seem to be able to get it after a couple of tries, then followup with the throttle positioning and idle recalibration.. especially on intake related mods.. ie, Z-tube, high-flow filter and this cover mod.. just start from scratch and let it relearn under these new air flow conditions.

The real advantage is NOT having to reset the clock and all the radio stations.. what a pain!?!

That was the only car I could confirm had it since obviously I own it. I would assume that all revups have them also, but have not seen confirmation from anyone else

Next you guys go racing switch airboxes with Henry for a couple of runs before you buy one. Just a idea.
