Update. I received a Z airbox and swapped the V-stack from it to my G oem airbox. Just drill out the rivets and swap. I just used two sheetmetal screws with flat heads in place of the rivets. But even silicone would do. The maf bolts hold the v-stack in.

Today (typical Seattle) it's rainy and wet. BUT the throttle response is just as good as when it's dry (no humidity). So I think there are some nice gains in throttle response here. More punchy and responsive when in the 2,000rpm range.

Since this came from the Z airbox, I wanted to see if Z box could be seperated. It can The two pieces are basicly glued together. The Z maf side "could" be matched to the filter side of the G box with work but IMHO, it's not really worth it.

we've been selling the rev up air boxes ALOT lately. Performance gains to seem to be nice w/a drop in filter

If anyone is looking for the Z or Infiniti boxes, just pm us

Yes sir Mr. Tony!

I've been running on one since last fall... since Dsskyline first turned us on to this easy and not so expensive intake mod...lovin' it! It opened up the intake as well as a nice resonance when coupled with an AMSOil drop-in, z-tube, MD spacer and the HR Y-pipe... very sweet throttle response overall.. great sound and pull at any speed!!

Even the dealer tech said he noticed that this is a "really strong engine"... not really knowing why.. he's just going by his butt-dyno...

That's what I thought. I have an 05 AT and I had to buy the revup airbox. Mine came stock with the smaller horn. Got lucky and found a member here that sold me just the back for $25. I didn't want to spend $100 for the whole thing. I like the difference in sound and performance.

My 06 AT had the smaller horn as well about 3 others that I have seen. I would venture to say that someone replaced yours. I have personally never seen a 05-06 AT with the rev-up box from the factory.

So one of the Alberta guys has an 04 6MT Sport coupe, and his airbox has the velocity stack. I wonder if the fact that it's a Canadian car makes any difference? I can't imagine we would have gotten it sooner than the US.

Quick question on this topic.... good info here, but most of the back and forth has been about coupes and/or MTs. Would the '06 box fit an '04 sedan with AT? I would like to remove the OEM tube and airbox and install a Z tube and '06 revup airbox if it is a fairly easy fit.

That's exactly what we've been running for awhile, myself, DaveB and many others... if you can use a screwdriver and a 10MM wrench.. you can do this mod. take care not to manhandle the MAF element when swapping it between to old and new air box cover. You might want to consider changing out your OEM air filter while you have the air box opened up to complete the intake mod process... and eventually an MD spacer!

AMSOIL or K&N seem to be the "drop in" of choice on here...

good luck bro!
