I was reading through this thread because I realized that my DE Y Pipe on my 04 G35x looked similar to the 350z HR Y Pipe but I realized that it's the updated one. My question is that should I get the 350z HR Y pipe or the updated DE pipe is similar to the HR Y pipe ?

What about the HR y-pipe from Megan?
~$150-160 delivered.. I tried a ebay normal DE y-pipe and the flex is leaking air after 1.5mths ..... I dont mind 2.5 and 3" as my Fubjitsubo is 3" anyways and i also have HFC which are 2.5" -everything matches..
I should post up video clips of stock cats/ypipe vs stock cats and DE ypipe vs hfc + DE ypipe and then when i get my hr ypipe. If dyno didnt cost so much i could dyno what i get now im swapping DE-ypipe with HR

For the OP - the 07-08 G35 sedan Y pipe is 2" at the inlet but it immediately tapers to approx 1.75 in as you can see in your pic. The outlet is similar to the G37 at 2.5"

I have an 09 370Z HR Y pipe installed on my 04 G35x, Inlet is 1.75" out is 2.5". I haven't lost any power I also have AAM Competition HFCs. I am waiting to install an exhaust within the next couple weeks. There is no longer any rasp associated with my HFCs. Sound is smooth.
