did everyone get their pipes?

 

From the posts I've seen (or lack there of), it seems as if only a couple people actually received the Y Pipe from the TD group buy (or at the very least, maybe only a couple people actually installed it so far), and from their first impressions, the Y pipe doesn't do a whole lot for improving the exhaust note, and may or may not make any difference in HP (no definitive answers to that). I guess we'll have to wait for some other people to post their impressions and/or some longer-term results.

I feel good about my decision to go with the Coupe midpipe instead ($235 + shipping)..it definitely makes a significant difference (at least with a much deeper exhaust note -- more like the Coupe and FX35/45 without sacrificing power, and it may or may not increase HP...still unsure about that); but, anyway...it seems like the Y pipe isn't quite as good as originally thought. I think the Z tube still reigns as king of the "best bang for your buck" mod for the G35 (at $75 with easy, no-hassle owner installation)!!! ;-)

I got my y-pipe and had it installed (see another thread for that story). It did not change my exhaust note and no noticable increase in HP.
I think I will need to also change the cats and/or midpipe (aftermarket) .
