Stillen Headers
Okay. As of right now i have installed a Stillen high flow cat back system and will eventually put HFC and headers but i guess with an entire exhaust and then an FIC tuning afterwards no power should be sacraficed in the lower PRM range.
Because due to the high costs of installation (or aggravation if you do it yourself), its the worst bang for the buck - NA mods that is. Low gains and high cost installation.
Also, always be wary of manufacturer's claims with HP increases.
I had my car dynoed (before and )after putting a lot of bolt-ons including Stillen exhuast, spacer, intake, etc... and i didn't see squat in gains - at least compared to what claims the manufacturers made. Didn't really see any "real" gains until I went FI.

so pretend you got free installlation, would they be a good power adder. I am mostly concerned about loosing too much power at lower RPMs. Also when you added all of your bolt-ons did you tune your car? Did that make a difference?

I personally have the stillen ss headers they got installed with the stillen cat back as well. I felt gains throughtout the power range without a tune and HFC's. Then added stillen HFC's and tune (osiris) then the actual gains are felt with
the key is a tune...
If you add decent breather mods and they actually work - you will not benefit unless you have a/f corrected... in fact, you may run so lean that the ECU pulls timing and lose power.
To say a particular breather mod doesn't work (without tuning to take advantage of what it does) isn't relevant.
Some headers are more difficult to install that others... there aren't many mods that are good bang for buck - so after the low hanging fruit, the right headers aren't a bad consideration (if you don't mind the low gains for dollar equation).
