Re: Sound Clip for Y-Pipe
Sounds good. So that was just the Y-pipe on the OEM exhaust? Started sounding GREAT at the top of the dyno pull!

Re: Sound Clip for Y-Pipe
Would this increase of 6-9 HP for the G35 be for the Coupe only or for both the Coupe & Sedan as well? Also, does the Y pipe sacrifice low-end torque? In addtion, if ok for the Sedan, does the Y pipe make the exhaust note to be just a little more like the stock Coupe, FX, or 350z; e.g. a little deeper, throaty sounding throughout the rpm ranges (low - high)? This is something the stock Sedan's exhaust lacks, and without an entirely new catback system, it seems to be difficult to achieve on the Sedan.
I'm trying to assess the difference with the Y pipe but most seem to be adding these Y pipes to their Coupes, and as you know, the Sedan has a different exhaust system than the G35 Coupe, FX35/45, and the 350Z. Thanks.

Re: Sound Clip for Y-Pipe
I believe this has been discussed before.
Reason why there's such a big gain is mainly due to the fact that they posted the lowest stock run vs. the highest dyno run with the y-pipe. It's a little misleading and UT has actively disclosed this on the boards. Kudos.
But as for others that dynoed the Ypipe, it definitely puts out 6-9hp on a stock G/Z.
