Quote: ^ Didn't find my catalytic converter brace yet to get that back on the sedan and connected to the ART pipes. It's a trapezoidal-looking piece of metal that looks like the trap below without the bottom horizontal line:
I have mine if you want it. I have V1 ART pipes so I don't have a need for it and its just sitting in my living room LOL. I'll give you a good deal.

Thanks brother, the way I see it the universe is telling me it's time for a new life experience. And even though I probably shouldn't spend the money right now, tomorrow is going to be a good day at Uprev!!

I wonder how well these work with V36 sedans with AT...

The whole point of the redesign of the V2.1s was to create clearance for the ATs, both 1st and 2nd gen. The gains are proven if that's what you are asking, it's a Motordyne product for God's sake.

Look at Peter's post above, granted he only got a chance to install one side, but I'm not worried. As mentioned before, I'll have a full report tomorrow on fitment and gains with pics. UpRev is installing mine and doing a re-flash after the install.

Yeah I know, but for some people the old V2's and the V1's fit fine. I am one of the unlucky ones.

*fingers crossed*

Drove around for a day with one ART pipe V1 and one ART pipe V2.1. Very interesting blend of tone & rumble to say the least. Didn't have anyone around to take a video so sorry for no sound clips.

Had the second ART V2.1 pipe installed yesterday for the driver's side (was never an issue with clearance on any driver's side ART pipe I've run - V1, V2.0, V2.1) so now the set install is complete. There is comparable or more clearance on the driver's side for my 5AT.

I may get another dyno run in eventually to see the difference (if any) between the V1 and V2.1 in terms of HP/TQ but it'd probably be minuscule. For the small TQ gain Tony mentioned I could not feel it by butt-dyno. No hard numbers to report or sound clips yet but I'd have to say there was a very, very slight decrease in rumble/tone/vibration when rev'ing up past 1.5k RPM to 3kish RPM which is what I wanted. The V1's were too much of a good thing in that RPM range to me. Merging onto a freeway on-ramp sounds bee-you-tee-full and I'm happy I've got ART pipes on again. Sedan felt sluggish and underpowered when the ARTs were off & OEM cats were back on.

^ Hey Marcus - thanks for the offer but I found mine at the shop. We didn't wind up installing it after all.

* Wow, that's horrible luck. I had two sets of V1's on and neither had clearance issues on the passenger's side at all. Very close fit though on both. Only the V2.0's rubbed against the transfer case. Like I said earlier, on all versions of ART's I've had the driver's side clearance was never an issue. Good luck man - blues ***** suck!

Quote: How much for the ART Pipes anyways?

^ Pricing is on MD's website. For the fastest results you guys should just call Tony @ 661-993-5111. Don't think he has much time to be on Driver as much as he used to as he's on several other forums now.

^ LOL, coming from your MD system I think you'd be a little disappointed with my HFC/resonated middy/quieter ART V2.1 setup. And you're the one with the kids - go figure

Just to be clear, when comparing the V1's to the V2.1's my ears detected that the deepness of the tone remained the same - only the loudness decreased incrementally from the low RPM's.
