Only HFC's you'd get from MD come from the XYZ pipe where you can add a HFC module to it. Look on MD's website for more info or PM Tony.

Not to speak for MD, but I doubt Tony would make a standalone HFC for the G35 - why would he? The whole point of the ART pipes was to have a better performing product than either HFC's or test pipes - and the dynos show the gains.

^ I understand the ART Pipes make the most power....but for those of us who dont want fumes or the super loud sound, I'm sure he could also build a nice HFC set, although not as powerful, but surely more powerful than the other HFCs out there with great quality

I can report that the smell from ART pipes is much less than the smell my Labree resonated TPs, which didn't bother me anyway.

Tony makes it so you can have the power of the art pipes by making an interchangeable y pipe system that would allow you to run an hfc. Thus you would have ART pipes+ XYZ y-pipe and whatever exhaust you want to run after that, this isn't rocket science! Its just different parts you can put together to make what best suits you. Its the most interchangeable exhaust setup ever! Imo

Thanks Derek! I only swapped out the Labrees because I got a good deal on a set of ART pipes, otherwise I would have kept them. I was very pleased with them.

Pics and vid of new wheels posted in my progression thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...on-thread.html

The ART's are not super loud by any means. They're not that much louder than stock cats.

^ not that much louder than stock cats??? Do you have them on your car?

I know when I had my megans they were MUCH louder than stock at WOT and had a lot of gas fumes at idle coming out the side of the car...

3truman - So you mean ART pipes + hfc? I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money...

CandleStick - How long have you had them on? Have they broken in? Are they louder than your old TPs? I'm not sure how the Labrees compare to the Megans...

Not to be a dick but sometimes you have to pay to play $$$

I don't have the hfc module but I have an entire md setup and its worth it! My car is loud!

They are noticeably louder. When I met Fab for the first time to hear his ART + TDX v2 combo, it was LOUD - even on warm start ups. I now have my TDX v2 with stock cats, and I can tell it is def quieter, in all RPM ranges and start ups.

I can honestly say the fumes aren't as bad as everyone says they are. I've driven behind and in Fab's car and if I hadn't known to pay attention to notice the fumes, I wouldn't have.

Yeah I have them on my car. Of course you'll have some smell. There's nothing you can do about that because you have no cats filtering it out.

With the stock exhaust, the tone was a little deeper and a little louder with the ARTs compared to stock cats. I probably noticed the most difference between them at startup. If I was driving around normally they were almost the same, at least to my ears. The main downside was I now had rasp from around 2500-3000 rpm which was not there before.

Catalytic converters are being built into the exhaust midpipes as an option. Its being worked on now.

I have the older shockwave with the HFC module on the XYZ, will this option be available for it and if not what are the differences in flow, smell and longevity? Thanks.
