I believe there are some on my350z - The sound is pretty much the same, but isn't as loud.

Tony, please excuse me for not reading the entire thread, but I'm seeing some issues with the V1's cracking. Are the V1's still under warranty? If not, discounts to replace the cracked pipes?

Hi Jarien,

The ART pipes come with a 2 year warranty. Just send us an email with your contact and purchase information.

Another thing that often happens is people will use the extra power provided by a modification which will use more gas in the process.

Also, one thing you can do is dyno test to see where your A/F ratio is. If you find it is running rich its easy to fix with a tune.
No, i have done plenty of mods. The only change in mine recently was the subtraction of HFC for ART pipes. Other mods have shown increases in efficiency especially w/ a tune. My highway MPG dropped from 25 to 22 on the same trips i travel regularly (400 miles one way)

The decrease in fuel efficiency is related to the long term fuel tables and is evidenced by Uprev Cipher data logs on primary vs secondary O2 sensors.

Have you recently reset your fuel learning?

I didn't see this change at all with my fitting of the ART's. It's quite possible that something else isn't quite right for you?
I did reset my fuel learning and i also had to relearn the idle air control.

The ART pipes do not cause a decrease in fuel efficiency. It seems there may be a air leak somewhere in the system. Air leaks can actually let air in the exhaust flow during the scavenge phase of the exhaust pulse. When air gets in, the A/F sensor reads excess oxygen in the system and thinks its running lean so it adds in more fuel to compensate, but adding more fuel to an already properly tuned system means its now running rich.

Check for a leak near the inlet flange.

There is no leak.

Try removing the steel wool inside the O2 sensor socket and let me know what you find. It may be what you need.

A short piece of heavy steel wire with a hook shape bent at the end of it can be used to pull the steel wool out.

I never noticed any decrease in fuel efficiency with ART pipes, and I always monitor how many miles I get when I fill up. It's always around 20mpg.

It not typical driving - its only during longer trips (HWY) that it is noticeable.

Ah, OK. I don't make many long trips over 30 miles or so, so I'm out on that one then
