Question Need your input

Hello folks,

i had a couple of questions for you. Over the past 3 years i have had an exhaust (x02-hks replica), stillen intake, and a plenum spacer. i never got a tune thinking that i might buy testpipes/hfc, and now i am not so sure if i ever will get one or not.

do you recommend getting a tune? if so-can you suggest any shops in the nor cal area that you can vouch for? how much is expected cost?

x02 owners running without testpipes/hfc have you had any trouble passing smog? i have not gotten smog done on my car yet so i was curious if i would have any issues given the mods i have.

thanks, i appreciate your response!

You shouldn't have any problems passing smog, catbacks have nothing to do with emmisions.

If you never plan on getting HFCs/TP's, you could still get a tune and see gains. They just wont be as big as if you did have them.

Tuning is fine, but make sure you aren't going to buy HFC/test pipes or any other mods before you do so. Or else it is just more money wasted once you decide to go back in for a new tune.

A tune would definitely provide some gains on what you're running now, but as others said make sure you're not going to be getting anything else for a while otherwise it's just kind of a waste.
