Ive heard good things about the cosworth. But as far as I know the plenum spacer can only be used with the stock plenum. There is also the Kinetix SSV available. From what Ive heard though, they are not very good value for money without going FI. Although they look nice They are quite a bit of money though.

I don't think either of those is good enough to justify the cost.

+1 ^ if you have revup engine go with mrev2.
U can get a used one for around $350.
Non revup don't bother.

If you are running a 6MT rev up combine the 5/16 spacer with Mrev2 under plenum and it gives power ,if you tune it,its even better.. Cosworth and kinetix are no good on naturally aspirated engines you have to tune them to get some type of gain but even so you won't make much if you aren't going forced indcution.Mrev2 with spacer makes power without a tune ,with tune makes more..

I have emailed kinetix about increasing the plenum space before. They said If I bought their tall plenum in addition to my Motordyne 5/16 I might net 1-2 hp. You dont really have much to gain from increasing plenum volume beyone what the Motordyne plenum spacer gets you, thats not what restricting this intake, its the small diamater of the throttle body that is hurting performance

Read the intake development section. http://sg-motorsport.com/development.html

" Following that incredible discovery, we built an extremely large plenum out of aluminum to see if plenum volume was the issue. No gains were found, so the next logical step was to increase airflow into the plenum."

So you guys definitely think that buying an mrev2 and spacer would be more effective than getting a new upper plenum?

I read your R&D story that was posted on your website; what came of your incredible discovery? Through a simplistic process of elimination you discovered that getting air to the runners in the plenum was solving the problem of air starvation causing restricted performance; but yet the only thing you offer for a solution is your test.
If the discovery was so great, why wasn't throttle body testing conducted to see if the solution was really the throttle body? You placed a "port" on top of the intake manifold which was the same as lifting the upper plenum during the pull just a bit more fancy... Which proved nothing; the 25HP came back but you didn't eliminate other variables; for instance. What if the throttle body wasn't opening 100% causing restriction on airflow going in the plenum...

I just want to make sure I understand your theory clearly because I'm in the process of modifying my intake; a larger diameter throttle body would show more gains than a larger cubic inch capacity plenum?
