MD ART test pipes or MD MREV 2??
MD ART test pipes or MD MREV 2??
Im looking at getting one or the other right now as I dont have the money for both. My setup now is a MD 5/16 copper iso spacer, Z-tube, 06-07 airbox, and K&N drop in. My exhaust and everything else is stock. My G is an 04 so I do not have the rev-up engine. Which one would I see the most gains with?? Later on down the road when I have a couple G's, I am going to buy exhaust from the headers back. Another question I have toward the test pipes is...would they pass emissions. I already know that IF I would get a CEL all I would need are the O2 foulers but would they pass an emissions test? Common sense is telling me no but I just want to check.
Since you don't have a revup go with the ART pipes. The MREV2 will only give you minimal gains (on a non-revup), particularly compared to ART pipes. You won't get a CEL with the ART pipes, but I doubt you will pass emissions testing.

I've dyno tested a complete polish of the lower plenum internal ports and it did nothing to the power curve.

Thanks again guys for all the feedback. The ART pipes look nice and the dyno testing I've seen looks like they would do a lil something. One other thing I was tossing back and forth was to go with a good set of HFC's. That way I wouldn't have to swap out the test pipes with my stocks to pass my emissions every year. Any suggestions on a good make of HFC's? The only thing with the HFC's is if I do eventually decide to go FI they would be a flow restriction....decisions decisions

^^ Thanks for the input. I did decide to go with berk's HFC's. That way I dont have to swap out with the stocks every year to pass emissions. The rest of my exhaust is still stock so Im not too worried about rasp for now. BTW, I am a 6MT. I read in another thread that MotorDyne may be making a new set up with the Shockwave TDX2 that has cats. If they do then I would most likely get some ART pipes and the TDX exhaust. I had planned on prolly getting that exhaust anyways so that would make it even better for me.

I have full MD exhaust TDX v2 with ART pipes on my 06 AT. No problems with install or anything for me. I got everything over a year ago so it was the first version of art pipes. Personally I love the set up and most other ppl do as well. If you go with that set up I think you will be happy
