Injen Vs Fujitsubo Vs Greddy Evo 2 Exhausts

Which one do you guys like more? I heard the injen gives good gains in power and sounds mean as hell. Does the injen come with a replacement for the stock Y-pipe? In all the Pics I have looked at, it looks as if it comes with an extra piece not inluded in other exhausts such as the Fujitsubo or the greddy. But on the downside, i heard about the fiberglass shooting out of the pipes and also about the dronning noise of the exhaust inside the cabin when you are in the freeway. I also heard that the Fujitsubo one is good and also has considerable gains (does anyone know how much as compared to the injen or greddy?). But I haven't heard anything bad about this one. Then there is the greddy exhaust in which i haven't heard anyhting about this. How are the gains? Are there any bad things about this one? Like the dronning of the exhaust on the freeways or the sound of it? I want to get one but which one? Help please

I have the same exact questions as you...

1. Love Greddy, had it on a previous car, but havent heard anything about the Evo2 for the G35...Anyone???

2. Fujistubo sounds cool, JDM is always good, but again, havent heard much about the sound on this one...not thrilled by the looks either...???

3. Injen seems to be very popular, but im not sold on it...looks agressive (which is good) good power gains (always good) but im just not sure on the company....anyone wanna convince me???

Also, im gonna add one more to the mix... HKS, Titanium Tipped Exhauts. I saw this for a Z on Intensemotorsports.com, which leads me to believe that it will be made for the G very soon...any info???

Thanks.

I can't speak intelligently on the Fuji exhaust, but I can on the Injen. I've owned this system for 6 months and have to say, it's an awesome exhaust. At a recent dyno day, there were 20 G's that showed up (all N/A). OUt of the 20, out of the top 4 hp producing G's(mine being one of them) 2 had Injen exhaust. This was actually written about on SportZ Magazine and if you are really nice and ask DaveO, here on the site, here post the info since he was the editor of the article. Anyways, I'd say, go Injen. BTW, my owner other mods at the time were Kinetix cats and a short ram intake by K&N. I put down 269 to the wheels at that event and the other Injen exhaust'ed G put down 270.

Oh, also, there is no Y pipe cuz this is a straight through, TRUE dual exhaust...cat-back. There is some droning, but the mean sound superceeds that tiny inconvenience.

I'm happy with the Fuji, it's not loud but does produce a smooth deep tone. No droning at all. If I ever get around to getting some high flow cats I think that it will be perfect. I wasn't a fan of the huge exhaust tips at first, but they've grown on me.

With the Fujitsubo, does that get rid of the Y-pipe also? It is a cat back exhaust too right?

Oh, nm i get it. I was looking at the stillen website. The injen gets rid of the Y-pipe so there is no connection between the two sides. AHHHH! Maybe I might try the injen but the dronning sound in the cabin is not too enticing for me.

I don't have a greddy and this may be of no relevance, but I've had a Greddy Evo exhaust on my previous car (eclipse) and it was the deepest and most badass sounding exhaust I've ever owned...Only problem was the constant drone...Many eclipses sound like fart cans were installed on them, but Greddy was great sound and a great build...I'd love to see one on a G..

INJEN is sooo sweet, looks the best imo too... sounds great but if your looking for the stock sound than this isnt the exhaust for you. If you dont mind a deeper throatier louder exhaust tone than injen is a good choice. The sound clips floating around really dont do this exhaust justice....
Some people have had issues with fiberglass chips on their bumper, leaking out from the exhuast resonators. I was one of them, Called injens tech phone number and talked to the injen rep from this site, and within 2 weeks I had myself the warranty replacement pipes which helped fitment and fixed the fiberglass issue... I wasnt the original owner of the exhaust either.... great support from injen! i reccomend hearing the exhuast in person before you make up your mind on what you feel is the best......ive heard them all now my list of best sounding is...

1. Nismo - stock sound 10xs louder, lowest claimed hp (not unrealistic 6 hp+)
2. Injen - no where near stock sound but makes the car sound like an animal esp with hi flo cats or test pipes
3. Borla - sounds good, nothing amazing but not bad... could look a bit nicer underneath the car... power is there according to everyone ive talked to
4. Stillen/fuji/greddy sp2 - sound good, stillen is too loud for me but nice, fuji is quiter than stock, i dont get why, looks exactly like nismo but much much quiter... greddy sp2 the muffler only greddy exhaust doesnt sound bad but i wouldnt get it... just my .02

as far as power goes who knows whats the best, i hear stillen gives the best, injen stillen and borla all claim crazy hp but who knows....

Here are the actual results to the dyno day I was referring to above:

I double checked the dyno day data. Here's how the top 10 worked out.

1) Clint - MT Sedan - Fugi Y-pipe & Exhaust
2) Rubin - MT Coupe - Injen Exhaust
3) Andrew - MT Sedan - Stillen Exhaust
4) Randy - MT Coupe - Injen Exhaust
5) Ted - AT Sedan - Stillen Exhaust
6) Anthony - AT Sedan - Stillen Exhaust
7) Dave - AT Sedan - Stillen Exhaust
8) Ken - MT Coupe - Stock Exhaust
9) Albert - AT Coupe - Stock Exhaust
10) Gerry - AT Coupe - Stock Exhaust

Totals:
5 Sedans - 5 Coupes
5 MTs - 5 ATs
1 Fugi - 2 Injen - 4 Stillen - 3 Stock (All Coupes)

To make things fair, Clint, the guy running the event had a plenum, headers, airbox mod and (I believe) modded cats. So, that attributed to his HIGH gains. He def has the higher hp N/A sedan I've ever come across.

Hope that helps!

I've been through 2 of the 3 exhausts you have mentioned - I started out with the EVO II, and although I loved the gains/sounds of it with the resonated test pipes I used to have on my car, it was a little too much visually for me... after I installed the headers, the sound quality wasn't the same, so I decided to go for a change...

I then purchased the Injen SES and high-flow cats to replace the test pipes... I was blown away the first time I started the car... it was way louder/meaner/deeper... I definitely would not go back now and even though I went from test pipes to high-flow cats, I don't think I lost any HP (torque in the lower RPMs feels much higher now than before) - I'm very happy now, I just wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on the EVO II to start with...
