Reset the ecu for a stillen intake z-tube

Hey guys I got my stillen intake with a z tube installed on my 04 coupe. Is resetting the ecu really necessary?

Sadly the ecus in our car are permanently programmed. If you installed an intake you will need to purchase a new programmed ecu from the dealer and have it dyno tuned with you new intake.

It sucks that I have to buy a new ECU every time I change out one of my breather mods.

I think I am on my 6th ECU now.

Actually think I may have a spare ECU with stillen tune on it. 1600 dollars and it is yours.

I'm so surprised how people on forums are just such *******s sometimes. Every single one of us started out without any knowledge of engines or cars and how they work but we all learn. Take it easy on people and just offer your knowledge to help others. Unless all G owners are just preprogrammed to be dicks...

It isnt lack of knowledge that is the problem, it is general lack of effort. Common sense would dictate OP is not first person to ever install an intake, so odds are a simple search would have yielded him an answer.

I only help those, who help themselves.
