Just bought these pipes....

So I was looking to purchase some hfcs of the marketplace, found this https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...est-pipes.html after buying the hfc I'm told after posting pics that they're test pipes, I still decided to keep them so as I'm getting them installed my mechanic tells me they're 2 inches short of connecting to my car, when I was buying the pipes I asked if they would fit my 05 sedan, apparently I was lied to twice, what can I do? The pipes came with nothing else, maybe I'm just missing a piece or maybe it's not even for my car, any recommendations I don't want to have wasted my time with these

Thumbs up Hope this helps

Take your car to a shop that specializes in mufflers and exhaust systems. They should be able to fabricate something for you.

Pending on where they're short it'll probably be less hassle to have the pipe extended either on the Y pipe or the test pipes themselves..i'd also be looking for a partial refund.

Do you have pics of where they are short? If it's for a DE, it should fit. The differences in exhaust length between G/Z/FX happen after the Y-pipe.

Since you bought them from a member on our Marketplace your best option is to have a muffler shop extend them to fit...Gary

here's a pic, I think it's funny how I was told they were hfc and they would fit my car, I guess that was the wishful thinking, it's at the mechanic now, he told me he doesn't want to fabricate anything because it might not be as efficient or safe and might not work, how would I go about getting a refund?
