I found a 2006 350z Y pipe locally for $80. Going to get it if the test pipe removal isn't enough to remedy the awful sound.

 

Ok so for right now till I pick up the HR Y pipe I have removed the test pipes and Y pipe. The Y pipe had leaks on the flex sections so I requested a replacement. Before removing the Y pipe with OEM cats it sounded mean and aggressive. But with just the coupe mid-pipe it sound nice. May try it without the muffler tomorrow to see. Thanks for all the help everyone.
