y pipe or crawford cats?

Which mod would you guys rather buy, an UT y pipe or the crawford cats? Which has been shown to add more power throughout the power band? Right now i'm leaning towards the UT y pipe, are there any better y pipes made by other companies?

thanks guys

IMO, if you were only getting one, it would be the Crawford Cats. The stock cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust system. The "Y" pipe would be second on my list.

+1 on that! I now have a UT Y pipe for sale since I installed the Crawford Cats and the Stillen Exhaust, I would still go with the Cats first!

CC all the way, but having the y pipe is not bad either if you combine both.

Rather than starting a new thread, I figured I would just bump this one up.

I just purchased a set of used Crawford cats from a guy on my350z. He also mentioned that he had an Intense Power y-pipe, which he was getting rid of pretty cheap, so I went ahead and picked it up as well. I keep reading that by going with HFC's and a y-pipe on stock exhaust isn't the greatest idea? I want to know if it will be much of a problem. I figured what the hell and give it a shot since I got it for a great price, but I wanted to get some expert advice/input. I must say the Intense Power y-pipe looks great. Anyways, my goal here was just to get HFCs to increase the level of the stock sound (not change it because I love the way it sounds stock). I'm not sure if the y-pipe will change that at all, as I hope not. Thanks!

Oh, and I also plan on installing an MDE 5/16 Iso spacer fairly soon as well.

i say get the y pipe and try it if you dont like the sound put the stock one back on and sell the y pipe.. im not sure if it changes the sound im pretty sure it will tho...

the MD spacer will also affect the exhaust sound but very little

Kinetix or Crawford?

That answers my question about my next mod, now which one to choose or which is better? Crawford HF cats or Kinetix HF cats?
