Question Is exhaust <$500 possible?

I'm coming from the Mustang community where you can get a decent exhaust for $300, so researching exhausts for my coupe has been quite a shock. I'd like a true dual setup from the cat-back (might add cats, etc. later) that has a nice growl, pretty quiet <2000 RPMs and decently loud at WOT. Would it be possible to achieve this for $500 or less? What are my options?

Thanks.

Def tough to come by unless you find a used exhaust! I just recently bought a Stillen exhaust used for my coupe and threw on the crawford cats at the same time, I think you would love the exhaust note! It is no where what I expected seeing as everyone thinks it is soooooooooo loud. It really isn't. The only time I get raspyness is when the car is very cold. Under 2K it is very quiet even cruising to close to 3K under normal driving isn't really loud at all. When you romp on it it purrrrrrs so nice. Same tone as stock but a lil deeper and a lil louder.

Just save some more money until you can afford the Fuji, HKS or Stillen.

If you are totally set on paying less than 500, i suggest buying used, Greddy SP2, or doing a custom job. There aren't many options out there for under 800. IMO, a used g35 exhaust will *usually be more reliable and sound better than a custom one.

The Stillen exhaust is top notch with good sound to boot! And if yer coming from the Mustang community (more do it yourselfer's), why not try to fab up your own exhaust system. You should be able to do one for about $500

The Stillen Coupe Exhaust is not that loud, its the Sedan Version thats pretty loud. Although they have a new one for the sedan that is redesigned to be more quite.

I am doing a "piece-together" exhaust.

Y-pipe + test pipes=299
Coupe Mid-pipe=150
HKS Twin muffler=39
----------------------
Total price=488
So yes, it is possible....
