Borla Drone Fix

For those of you thinking about or have already installed a Borla True Dual for the sedan, I thought I'd let you know that drone can be toned down a bit. Although I have not seen many posts about drone on the Borla. I found it somewhat annoying right around 2000 rpm which is street or freeway cruising RPMs. I called Borla and they offered to send me two venturi tubes. They look like little spools and effectively act as constrictors. To install them you need to take apart the exhaust and tac-weld the pieces into the piping near where you think the droning sounds the loudest. In my case I felt the front muffler, the one right after the cats, was the noisiest. So I was told to install them in the outlets of that muffler.

2 hours of labor later, I did find a noticeable improvement to the droning and now, low rpm cruising is much better. If you are having similar problems, give Borla customer support department a call and they will send you the parts for free.
