Source for Stillen
Source for Stillen
Could someone please give me a good source for the Stillen Cold Air Intake (and other performance parts)? I have searched the forums but have not seen many parts sources mentioned (or I'm not searching for the right words ;-). I would like to hear of companies that you had good dealings with.
Thanks,
John

Stillen's website is www.stillen.com
I've dealt with Adam Hume at Stillen for several years.
He can be contacted at 1.800.711.4126 X-138 or Adam@stillen.com

DaveO,
Thanks for the reply. Usually, the manufacturer sells at suggested retail and items can be found cheaper from retailers. Was wondering if there was a reputible source that sold at a discount.

John

G354Door,
You're right, there usually is, but I haven't found that place for Stillen stuff.
Check in the Parts / Assessories section. GolfandG35 in Chattanooga, TN says he discounts Stillen parts. I e-mailed him over a week ago requesting his best price for the Stillen Air Intake. No answer to date.

DaveO,
Thanks for the input. So far, the only place I have seen cheaper is an Infiniti dealer on the web and it was only $10 cheaper.
I too, have emailed GolgandG35 and received no replay in the last week and a half.
How did the Stillen change the sound of your car. I would like it to sound as close as stock as possible. Does it make a large noise difference.

John

here in canada some dealers sell the stillen parts but its even more expensive than the manufacturer.
question, i put a K&N drop in filter yesterday and i dont know if its my imagination or what but the car feels more restricted, the gas pedal feels heavier mind u the car was at the dealer doing some warranty work. Is it me of my imagination?

Re: Source for Stillen
Tabz,
If that question was directed at me, sorry but I don't know. I have not replaced my filter or put in the CAI yet. Did you reset the ECU. The concensus here appears to be, reset the ECU after different modifications. Just a guess.

Re: Source for Stillen
source for stillen.
go to www.southwestautoworks.com
these guys deal mainly with Nissan, altimas in particular but Alex (the owner) is an authorized stillen retailer which means he can get you just about anything at the best price ever. I cannot say enough about these guys. If you are in Phoenix stop by their shop on Cave Creek and introduce yourselves. Downside to these guys: Alex does not carry a large stock of stuff for infiniti's unless it is also used by a nissan altima but can get stuff from stillen before anyone in the nation. He is also an Unorthodox Racing UDP vendor.
Another resource is Scottsdale Infiniti (AZ) Parts department. You have to be a Nissan Infiniti Club member (NICO). all you have to do is go to www.nissaninfiniticlub.com and register there, then call scottsdale infiniti and ask for Joe, mention NICO and he will hook you up, example, stock Nissan brake pads for sedan are 50-55 dollars per pair thru him and stillens axxis metal matrix are even less
