No, that is not what I meant. Not the hose clamps on both ends of the tube. The tube has a tab somewhere near the middle of the tube it has a slotted hole in it, which mounts with a 10mm bolt to a corresponding hole in the plenum. Did they line up? Did you include that bolt in your installation?

I just installed my Z tube.It works great. It was a bit tricky.I had to connect the slinky looking side first, then connect the side of the plenum stretching the tube out a little. It fit perfect along with the 10mm bolt.I have the blitz intake and am looking into the Stillen box to go with it.

Re: 350Z duct & Stillen Hi-flow

don't hate me for this...

posted a WTB on my local z-car club forum that went unanswered for weeks, finally in desperation went to the Nissan dealer to order. Says he's got 6 on backorder - 5 reserved and one extra - ordered over 5 weeks ago. Offered me the extra and and a call when in. Got the call two days later and dropped a name at pickup for 20% off. Still cost me $85 new after tax. They ain't cheap but work/sound great with the Stillen CAB. Do it!

Buying a Z tube is easy:
1) do a quick search on this site to get the part number
2) call your local Nissan dealer, or any Internet based dealer of Nissan parts and order the tube
3) await delivery and you're there.

I ordered mine from my local Nissan dealer. They wanted to charge me $100, but came down to $80 when I told them stricklyZ.com was offereing for that. It only took 1 week to arrive and about 20 minutes to install.

Re: 350Z duct & Stillen Hi-flow

Seriously, just post on My350Z.com in the WTB section. It took me a few tries to find one, but I got one from a guy for $45 shipped. It's brand spanking new. It doesn't have any grease or anything on it, and he even sent some nuts and bolts that he had from his intake kit. I had another offer for one for $60, so they do exist. Just be persistant. 50% off is worth a little extra effort IMO.

Re: 350Z duct & Stillen Hi-flow

Same here. I installed my Stillen airbox and love it. I can definetly feel the difference at speed. The car pulls much harder without downshifting from 6th gear. The sound is great too. My 350Z intake tube is due to arrive on 9/23 and will be a great addition to the Stillen airbox.
