I checked Crawfordz's site but didn't see it in the Q & A. Unless it's part of their video. But I do understand what to look for and I do have an air powered grinder handy. And a Dremel.
Man that squeal was so loud, I thought it was going to wake up the neighbors next door. I had the garage door open at 1:30 am. haha

I checked it closely again. You were right. The two mounting bores are higher. But I can tell it's because they were torqued down too much and caused the top of the plenum to become concave. I wonder if I can gently bend it out to make the top flat or even slightly convex?
Also the flange face in the front of the plenum actually bows up a bit. I talked to buddy that has the same one. They ended having to use two gaskets. I also note that there was some gasket sealer on the flange of this one.

I also found a thread describing the same problem. Seems a double gasket might be the solution. If I install the outer bolts first, it might solve the concave problem of having the two mounting bores being too long.
